Indian Army Agniveer Application Process 2024

Indian Army Agniveer Vacancy 2024

The Indian army is looking to fill around 25,000 posts for Agniveer. The exact distribution of the vacancies in different categories such as UR, OBC, SC, EWS, etc will be informed through official notification at a later stage.

Indian Army Agniveer Eligibility Criteria 2024

To be considered for the position of Agniveer, candidates must meet these eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification:

  • Agniveer (GD): Matriculation exam pass from a recognized board with at least 45% marks.
  • Agniveer (Technical): Intermediate exam pass in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
  • Agniveer (Technical Aviation & Ammunition Examiner): Intermediate exam pass and possess an ITI Trade certificate from SCVT/NCVT’s recognized institution.
  • Agniveer Clerk: Intermediate Exam pass in Science, Commerce or Arts with not less than 60 % marks along with proficiency in typing.
  • Agniveer Store Keeper (Technical): Intermediate exam pass with minimum 60% marks.
  • Agniveer Tradesman: Middle School Examination (Class 8) or Matriculation Exam (Class 10) passed from a recognized board.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum age: 17.5 years old
  • Maximum age: 23 years old

Note: The policy on exceptions to the reserved category candidate as per Government of India guidelines should be applied.

Indian Army Agniveer Application Fee 2024

For candidates to sit the Computer Based Test and complete the application process will need to pay a sum of around ₹250 for the year 2024. Payment can be done by means of a credit or debit card.

Indian Army Agniveer Physical Details 2024

Below are the physical demands for candidates applying for the Agniveer position in the Indian Army:

1.6 Km Run:

  • Group 1: Within 5 minutes 30 seconds, Marks: 60
  • Group 2: Between 5 minutes 31 seconds to 5 minutes 45 seconds, Marks: 48

Beam (Pull-Ups):

  • Group 1: Ten Pull-Ups, Marks:40
  • Group 2:
    • Nine pull-ups, Marks 33.
    • Eight pull-ups mark 27.
    • Seven pull-ups mark 21.
    • Six pull-ups mark 16.

9 Feet Ditch:

For all groups qualify.

Zig-Zag Balance:

Qualify for all groups.

Agniveer (GD):

  • Height – 170 Centimeters
  • Chest – 77 centimeters with a 5 expandability allowance

Agniveer (Clerk/ Store Keeper/ Technical):

Height – 162 centimeters,
Chest – 77 centimeters with a 5 expandability allowance.

Tradesman (10th/8th Pass)

Height – 160 centimeters,
Chest – 77 centimeters with a 5 expandability allowance.

Indian Army Exam Pattern 2024

The examination pattern for Agniveer recruitment is as follows:

General Duty:

  • Passing Marks: 35
  • Marking Pattern: Four marks will be awarded for every accurate response
  • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer
  • The subjects and their respective marks in the test are General Knowledge (30 marks), General Science (30 marks), Mathematics (30 marks), and Logical Reasoning (10 marks).
  • Total Questions -50, Total Marks –100.

Technical:

  • Passing Marks: 80
  • Marking Pattern: Four marks will be awarded for every accurate response
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
  • Subjects and Marks -General Knowledge (40 marks), Maths (60 marks), Physics (60 marks), Chemistry(40 marks).
  • Total Questions -50, Total Marks -200

Clerk:

  • Passing Marks: 80 (32 in each part)
  • Scoring Pattern: 4 marks for the right one
  • Loss of mark: -1 mark for every wrong one
  • Topics and Grades: Part -1: General Knowledge, General Science, Maths, Computer Science; Part-2: General English
  • Total Questions: 50, Total Marks: 200
