Eligibility Criteria Of Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
Age Criteria
Candidates born between 2nd January 2004 and 2nd July 2007 (inclusive) are eligible. For those successfully navigating all stages of the Selection Procedure, the upper age limit at the time of enrollment is 21 years.
Educational Requirements
For Science Subjects:
- Completion of Intermediate/10+2/equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and English (minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English)
- OR Successful completion of a Three-year Diploma in Engineering (50% aggregate and 50% in English)
- OR Completion of a Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Maths (50% aggregate and 50% in English)
For Non-Science Subjects:
- Completion of Intermediate/10+2/equivalent in any approved subject (minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English)
- OR Successful completion of a Two-year vocational course (50% aggregate and 50% in English)
Mandatory Medical Standards
As part of the Agniveer Vayu recruitment process, candidates must meet the following medical standards:
- Height Requirement: The minimum acceptable height is set at 152.5 cms for male candidates and 152 cms for female candidates.
- Chest Proportion: Candidates must possess a well-proportioned chest wall with a minimum expansion range of 5 cms.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
- Corneal Surgery (PRK/ LASIK): Not acceptable. Visual requirements as per Indian Air Force standards.
- Hearing: Normal hearing, i.e., able to hear forced whispers from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
- Dental: Maintaining healthy gums, a well-maintained set of teeth, and achieving a minimum of 14 dental points.
- General Health: Healthy anatomical structure without the absence of any body parts. Devoid of any ongoing or concealed, sudden or prolonged, medical or surgical impairment, illness, or skin disorders. Physically and mentally fit to perform duty globally, across various climates and terrains.
