Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, a candidate must have any of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography/Geology or a related field, along with a Certificate/Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics. OR
- B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics or M.A/M.Sc. in Geography/Geology/Environmental Science, with Geoinformatics as one of the core subjects. In lieu of that, a Certificate or Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics is also acceptable.
- Experience: A minimum of 02 years of experience in GIS and spatial analysis. Having proven experience in the water sector or a related field will be given preference.
Age Limit
Candidates applying for the GIS Expert position should not exceed 35 years of age as of January 1, 2023.
Job Location
The selected candidates will be based at the GIS Based Data Centre, Office of the Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, Assam, located in Hengrabari, Guwahati-36.
