Eligibility Criteria Of UPSC CDS II Examination
Nationality
- Eligibility criteria include:
- Indian citizens,
- Nepalese subjects,
- Individuals of Indian descent who have emigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam aiming for permanent settlement in India.
- Candidates from the second and third categories must have an Indian government-issued eligibility certificate.
- Gorkha subjects from Nepal are exempt from needing an eligibility certificate.
Marital Status, Sex And Age Limits
- Indian Military Academy (IMA): Only unmarried male candidates whose date of birth falls between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2006.
- Indian Naval Academy: Only unmarried male candidates whose date of birth falls between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2006.
- Air Force Academy: Candidates should be aged 20-24 on July 1, 2025, translating to birth dates from July 2, 2001, to July 1, 2005. Age relaxation to 26 years is provided for those with a Commercial Pilot Licence from DGCA; birth dates for these applicants range from July 2, 1999, to July 1, 2005.
- Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for Men): Eligibility is for single males with birth dates from July 2, 2000, to July 1, 2006.
- Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course): Open to unmarried women, legally-separated or widowed women without children. Birth dates should fall between July 2, 2000, and July 1, 2006.
