RBI Guwahati Recruitment Eligibility and Terms & Conditions
- Applicants must hold an MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system of medicine.
- Those with a postgraduate degree in General Medicine are also eligible to apply.
- A minimum of two years’ experience practicing medicine in a hospital or clinic is required.
- Applicants should have their dispensary or place of residence within a 3-5 km radius from the specified locations.
- The remuneration for the BMC will be fixed for the entire contract period, based on the actual duty hours performed.
- This vacancy is reserved for candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. Applicants must possess valid certificates supporting their claim.
- The contract will be for a three-year period, with no provision for renewal.

Salary
- For RBI Dispensary, Main Office Premises: 14:30 hrs to 16:00 hrs (Monday to Friday) at ₹1000/- per hour for the entire three-year contract. A monthly sum of ₹1000 will be allocated for conveyance expenses, along with mobile charge reimbursement of ₹1,000 per month.
- For Reserve Bank of India Officer’s Colony: 16:30 hrs to 19:30 hrs (Monday to Friday) and 07:30 hrs to 10:30 hrs (Saturday only, subject to change).

Selection Procedure
- The Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati, will conduct interviews to select one Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) on a contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration.
- The Bank may raise the minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for interviews, and its decision in this regard will be final.
- Shortlisted applicants will undergo medical tests as per prescribed norms before being engaged as Bank’s Medical Consultant. The cost of these tests is the responsibility of the applicant.
- The selected candidate will be appointed upon being found medically fit and accepting the Terms and Conditions as per Annex-I and Code of Conduct as per Annex-II.
- The selected candidate must enter into an agreement with the Bank before engagement as Bank’s Medical Consultant on a contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration.
