Eligibility Criteria Of ONGC Apprentice 2023

Age Criteria

 Applicants should be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 24 years old as of 20.09.2023. In other words, the candidate’s birth date should fall between 20.09.1999 and 20.09.2005.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should meet the specific qualification requirements based on the trade/discipline they are interested in, as outlined below:

1. Library Assistant: Candidates must have successfully passed the 10th class examination.

2. Cabin/Room Attendant: A 10th class examination certificate is required for eligibility.

3. Dresser (Medical): Eligible candidates should have passed the 10th class examination.

4. House Keeper (Corporate): Qualification criterion includes passing the 10th class examination.

5. Office Assistant: Candidates must have successfully passed the 12th class examination.

6. Mechanic Auto Electronics: Eligibility is contingent on holding an ITI qualification in Mechanic Auto Electrical & Electronics.

7. Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA): Eligible candidates should possess an ITI qualification in the COPA Trade.

8. Draughtsman (Civil): Qualification requirement is an ITI qualification in Draughtsman (Civil).

9. Electrician: Candidates must hold an ITI qualification in Electrician trade.

10. Electronics Mechanic: Eligible candidates should have an ITI qualification in Electronics Mechanic.

11. Fitter: Qualification criterion includes holding an ITI qualification in Fitter.

12. Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance: Eligibility requires an ITI qualification in Information Technology.

20. Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology): Candidates must hold an ITI qualification in Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology).

21. Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology): Eligibility requires an ITI qualification in Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology).

22. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic: Qualification requirement includes a Trade Certificate in Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

23. Stenographer (English): Eligible candidates should have an ITI qualification in Stenography (English).

24. Surveyor: Qualification criterion includes holding an ITI qualification in the Surveyor trade.

25. Industrial Welder (Oil & Gas): Candidates must have an ITI qualification in the Welder trade.

26. Executive (HR): Eligibility is contingent on possessing a B.B.A degree.

27. Accounts Executive: Qualification requirement includes a Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in Commerce.

28. Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant): Candidates should have a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry.

29. Data Entry Operator: Eligible candidates should hold a Graduate degree.

30. Secretarial Assistant: Qualification criterion includes holding a Graduate degree.

31. Store Keeper: Candidates must possess a Graduate degree.

32. Civil Executive: Eligibility requires a Diploma in the respective disciplines of Engineering.

33. Computer Science Executive: Qualification requirement includes a Diploma in Computer Science.

34. E&T Executive: Candidates should have a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication.

35. Electrical Executive: Eligible candidates must hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

36. Electronics Executive: Qualification criterion includes a Diploma in Electronics Engineering.

37. Instrumentation Executive: Candidates must possess a Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering.

38. Mechanical Executive: Eligibility requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

39. Fire Safety Executive: The qualification requirement is a Diploma in Fire & Safety.

40. Petroleum Executive: Candidates must hold a Graduate degree with Geology as one of the subjects.

Duration of Training

The training period for all trades mentioned is 12 months.

ONGC Apprentice Salary

Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, depending on their qualifications and trade. Stipend amounts range from Rs. 7,000/- to Rs. 9,000/- per month.

ONGC Apprentice Recruitment 2023 Selection Process

Selection will be based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as specified in the advertisement. In case of a tie in merit, preference will be given to the candidate with a higher age. No canvassing or influencing will be tolerated.
